(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball team was in Mandan on Monday to take part in the Wounded Warrior Play Day. They played three three-set matches against Bismarck, Mandan and Century. The Jays picked up two wins by defeating BHS, 2-1 and sweeping Mandan, 2-0.

Century upended the Jays with a 2-0 win. Jamestown now has some time off before meeting Century for a fourth time next Tuesday. It will be the second match that counts in the WDA standings, the other have been in tournaments. 

The round-robin tournament yesterday featured the four top teams in the WDA and they each wore a different uniform for one of the four branches of the military.

Next Tuesday’s match will be on the radio from Century High with the first serve at 7pm on ESPN Jamestown.
