Four Sweeps At Day One Of District 5 Volleyball Tournament

(NewsDakota.com) All four matches on the opening day of the 2014 North Dakota Class B Volleyball Tournament were decided in the minimum 12 games.

#1 LaMoure swept #8 LMM, #4 Ellendale swept #5 Barnes County North, #2 Oakes swept #7 Edgeley-Kulm and #3 Carrington swept #7 Midkota-Kensal; all matches were three games to none.

Day two of the tournament is set for Friday with two loser out games to start the day. At 3 p.m., Barnes County North (6-19) will face LMM (0-25) followed 20 minutes later with Edgeley-Kulm (5-23) facing Midkota/Kensal (8-20).

At 6 p.m., LaMoure (28-4) plays Ellendale (16-15), followed by Oakes (28-5) and Carrington (26-6) 20 minutes later.
