N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown will be presenting their rendition of the classic Charles Dickens tale “A Christmas Carol”.

Theater Director Mike McIntyre announced that the musical this year will be based off of the television version that aired on television for a span of 10 years. He stated that something that makes this musical so special is the community involvement and large cast.

University Student Christopher Koppinger plays Bob Cratchit in the production. He said his favorite part of being involved was the involvement with everyone.

Tickets are available now from the University of Jamestown Box Office for $10. The play will run November 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7:30 PM at the Reiland Fine Arts Center. You can e-mail tickets@uj.edu or call (701) 252-3467 ext. 5435.

UJ students in the play showcasing their talents include Ryan Butterfield, Kristen Meland, Katie Carpenter, Carlotta Jo Rasmussen, Megan Telehey, Logan Carpenter, Jacoby Holte, Christopher Koppinger, Katie Roehm, Morgan Baumgartner, Alexis Martinson, Briana VinZant, Zack Mikula, Joel Ruby, Sydney Johnson, Katianne Brockpahler, Savannah Schafer, and Noah Fagerlund.

UJ staff members as part of the cast are John Lynch, director of student activities, and Caleb Grossman, student advocacy coordinator. Jamestown High School students performing are Jacob Brownell, Shane Chandler, Hunter Carpenter, Brittney Carpenter, and Jacob Sherfy. Local children taking part are Jaron Coombs, Allison Haugland, Alivia Hoke, Mackenzie Johnson, Ryder Koch, Maleeka Kramlich, Rebecca Krieger, Anja McDermid, Samara McDermid, Meghan Ray, Madelyn Reinarts, Brooks Roaldson, Sam Schlepuetz, Benjamin Shirley, Alexis Smith, Brielle Sullivan, Jackson Walters, Knoah Weber, Ryan Wells, and Garrett Wright.
