CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Police responded to a stabbing that happened on Wednesday, November 5.

23 year-old Faisal Mohammed reportedly attempted to contact an unidentified individual inside an apartment for money he was owed. When 23 year-old Sharmke Abudulle answered the door, Mohammed allegedly brandished a knife and cut Abudulle. Abudulle was treated at the scene with a laceration to his neck. His injuries were minor and not life threatening.

Mohamed was arrested with the charge of Aggravated Assault. He was transported to the Barnes County Corrections Center for booking.

It’s the second incident of aggravated assault involving a stabbing in Valley City in less than a week. On November 1, a man was stabbed another man with a broken beer bottle during a home invasion. That victim also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
