“Frank” Trzpuc, age 91 of Mayville, ND and formerly of Marion, N died Dec. 17, 2014 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City with Rev. Dave Montecuello officiating.  Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery at Marion, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Francis was born Aug. 14, 1923 near Marion, ND, the son of John and Walburgae (Sarbaum) Trzpuc, where he grew up and attended Greenland School.  He served in the US Army during WWII and then returned to Marion and was married to Mercedith Larson on Oct. 4, 1947.  The couple made their home on a farm north of Marion until 2009.  He farmed until the age of 80 and loved his old John Deere tractors.  He was also a painter and painted buildings around the area for many years.  He enjoyed his covered wagon and horses and loved to go to Medora and see the musical each summer.  Francis has made his home at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville since December of 2009.

Francis is survived by three sons and four daughters; DelRay (Linda) Trzpuc, Kathryn, ND, Kenneth (Linda) Trzpuc, Litchville, ND, Jeffrey (Holly) Trzpuc, Kathryn, ND, Florine Fredrickson, Horace, ND, Marie (Mike) Carroll, Lisbon, ND, Theresa (Bill) Robinson, Parkers Prairie, MN, and Julie (Randy) Trzpuc, Fargo, ND; a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Trzpuc, Valley City, ND; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marlys Boughton, Jamestown, ND and Patricia (Bill) Wieland, Edgeley, ND.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son Richard, a son-in-law Wayne Fredrickson, two brothers and their spouses Harold (Angela) Trzpuc and James (Mary) Trzpuc, and a brother-in-law Harold Boughton.
