ND (NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals hosted the Knights of Dakota Prairie last night in Class B High School Boys basketball.  Carrington won 61-32 and have won their last three games in a row after opening their season with a loss to No. 3 Four Winds/Minnewaukan on December 12th.  The Cards are now 3-1 overall and the Knights fall to 1-2.

Carrington had four players in double figures including Senior Guard Brady Smith leading all scorers with 16 points.  Sophomore Bryce Edland added 12 points off the bench and Seth Abaurrea and Shae Mehring both had 11 each.  Mehring had three 3-pointers adding to a season total of 11.  The Cardinals defense allowed just two points the entire second half to standout player Jon Lund of Dakota Prairie, he ended the game with 13.

Next up for Carrington will be a boys and girls double header at Lakota/Edmore on January 3rd, 2015.  Both Varsity games can be heard on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com starting about 2:15pm for the girls game, boys will be about 5:15pm.
