CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Police are investigating a break-in that happened at Dietrich & Sons in Valley City.

Owner Luther Dietrich tells newsdakota.com that a safe was taken in the burglary early Monday morning. He says a number of items are in the safe.

Dietrich says police are reviewing the company’s surveillance video as they continue their investigation into the break-in of his business.  

Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says the suspect broke in through a window. He says the suspect captured on video tape is described as a heavy set individual.

Thompson says anyone with additional information with this burglary is asked to call the police department at 845-3110.
