N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their final call log for the 2014 year.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruehter, 2014 saw nine more calls in the year compared to 2013 with a total of 268 calls.
“We were down in full response fire calls, but we were up in regional response call for the year. Otherwise, our total calls for the year are about the same. ” Chief Ruehter stated.
Below is the full run report for December 23rd through the 31st.
December 25th, 6:35PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
December 26th, 6:35PM, fire department responded to 550 18th St SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked the building no smoke/fire was detected. Cause-steam from dryer vent. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
December 30th, 11:47PM, ready squad responded to 301 20th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 30 minutes.
December 30th, 2:03PM, ready squad responded to 2422 20th St SW, Jamestown Regional Medical Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-conducting fire drill. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.
