N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During the final weeks of the North Dakota Legislative Session, bills have been passed that will potentially benefit growth in local communities.

According to Executive Director of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Becky Thatcher-Keller, three bills in particular that have been passed by the senate and house will affect local businesses and residents. Thatcher-Keller stated that promoting local growth is a focus of the chamber.

The first bill that she pointed out that would positively affect the community, specifically Jamestown due to workforce issues, is the Automation Tax Credits bill.

The other two bills that Thatcher-Keller pointed out was the Department of Commerce Budget Bill, which will fund daycare’s and housing through Flex Pace Programs and the Oil Tax Bill, which will help bring infrastructure to the community.

She also wanted to remind residents to stay informed with many other bills that are in the works that may benefit local businesses as well.
