ND – The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame will open the 2015 season with Another Cowboy Moment dedication of two exhibits at the Center of Western Heritage & Cultures Saturday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m. (MT) in Medora.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place for the upgraded exhibits installed for Wayne Herman, 1992 PRCA world bareback riding champion and Steve Tomac, nationally renowned PRCA rodeo clown. Marketing Director Kevin Holten spoke about the event with Steve Urness on KOVC’s Voice of the Valley.
NDCHF interim Executive Director Phil Baird says there is a lot of western history to be proud of in North Dakota and our cowboys, cowgirls and Native Americans deserve to have their stories told.
The premiere will feature an appearance by the 1982 PRCA world bull riding champion Charlie Sampson of Cave Creek, Arizona. The event will also feature a one-of-a-kind Native American and Western cuisine prepared especially for the N.D. Cowboy Hall of Fame.
The season opener will feature a red carpet entrance, skylights, sponsored-beverages, a new Cowboy & Indian art show, updated Native American displays, a military Veterans memorial, western musical entertainment, and the official debut of the new I.Keating Cowboy Lounge.
