ND – (NewsDakota.com) Residents in Mcleod are hopeful authorities will catch those responsible for vandalism to a church and school house. Organizer Lori Zabel said the vandalism forced the cancellation of the annual “cowboy up” ride against cancer fundraising breakfast on Sunday, August 16.
Zabel says it appears a fly swatter was used to splatter paint throughout the church, including on a piano and a painting on the altar. The church’s sound system and wireless mics were also stolen. Participants in the annual “cowboy up” event chipped in $1,500 for a reward for information that leads to the vandals.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ransom County sheriff’s office in Lisbon at 701-683-5255.
