N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man may be facing charges after breaking into a Jamestown home on Friday, August 28th.
Jamestown authorities say homeowner Delmonty Jones at 1115 First Avenue North shot an intruder in his home. Richie Daniel, the man who broke into Jones’ house, was shot in the abdomen and taken to a Fargo hospital. Lt. Justin Blinksy stated that there was another male and female in the home during the scuffle and that all individuals appear to know each other.
There has been no word of charges pending against Daniel until the state’s attorney sees incident documents and Daniel recovers from his injuries. He could face burglary and assault charges.
During the investigation, Jones’ dog charged authorities K9 patrol and they ended up shooting Jones’ dog. The dog was later put down.
