ND (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals Varsity Football team traveled to Harvey to take on the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County for a Class A match-up last Friday night, Carrington won 35-6. Carrington scored the first 35 points of the game, their first touchdown was right out of the gates as Cole Ferguson had a 90-yard kickoff return. Carrington is 1-0, HWC is 0-1.
Ferguson carried the ball five times for 90 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown. Senior Quarterback Connor Wendel completed four of seven passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals had a total of 335 yards of offense compared to just 98 for the Hornets. On defense, Carrington’s Bridger Anderson led the way with five tackles.
