CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The state’s largest cattle show was held in Valley City December 4-6 during the 16th Annual North Star Classic.
Cattle shows and sales, commercial exhibits, a silent auction and a fitting clinic were held inside the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center.
North Dakota Winter Show spokeswoman Angie Curtis said cattle entries increased to more than 500 this year compared to 450 entries in 2014.
She said between the open, junior and pen shows, along with the new “Fairest of Them All” Show, cattle entries exceeded 500 this year.
Curtis said in addition to the shows, Hereford, Angus and Club Calf sales were held during the North Star Classic and just over 75 head were consigned to sales during the show this year.
