CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Fargo Davies Eagles came into the Hi-Liner Activities Center and swept the Valley City Hi-Liners in Eastern Dakota Conference basketball on Friday night.

Jake Paper scored 30 points to lead the Eagles to a 92-64 win in the boys game. Hunter Burchill paced the Hi-Liners with 19 points and hit 5 three-pointers.

Fargo Davies improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the EDC, while Valley City drops to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the EDC.

In the girls game, Carly Kottsick had 22 points in the Eagles 83-61 win over the Hi-Liners.

Brenna Dieterle had a game high 33 points for Valley City and shot 17-21 from the free throw line.

Fargo Davies improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the EDC. Valley City goes to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the EDC.

Valley City hosts Grand Forks Central for a doubleheader on Tuesday night from the HAC. The girls game will tip-off at 5:45 p.m. with the boys game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
