N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It has been announced that Jamestown City Engineer Reed Schwartzkopf has resigned effective immediately.

The Jamestown City Council met in special session Monday morning and accepted to resignation of Schwartzkopf. A letter dated December 14th was given to the council from Schwartzkopf and reads that he appreciated the opportunity to work with the city and wishes them well.

Both Schwartzkopf and City Administrator Jeff Fuchs were unavailable for comment. The city will temporarily fill the full time position until a new engineer is found.
