(NewsDakota.com) – Minot High girls basketball coach Bernie Wasser said that his team wasn’t as deep as Jamestown following the Jays win Tuesday night. That wasn’t the case for Minot when the two boys teams got together on Thursday. No. 2 Minot’s depth eventually wore down the Jays en route to a 78-67 win.

Jamestown battled possession-for-possession with Minot for the better part of 30 minutes, but Minot ran their lead to 16 in the closing minutes. The Jays trailed by just two at half, but were unable to slow the tempo in the second half.

Noah Wanzek had 26 points to lead the Jays as he continues his monster year. Jamestown has just two days to bounce back before battling a tough Turtle Mountain team on Saturday at Jerry Meyer Arena.
