N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Lites won the Class A Hip Hop division championship with their Vogue routine in the NDADD State Dance Competition this past weekend in Jamestown. The Hi-Lites also finished third in the Jazz division. 

Standings for the Hip Hop division:

3. Davies
4. Sheyenne
5. Williston

Standings for the Jazz division:

1. West Fargo
2. Sheyenne
3. Valley City
4. Bismarck
5. Century
6. Davies
7. Fargo North

The Hi-Lites will now make their way to the UDA nationals in Orlando, Florida next weekend.

Hi-Lites dance coach Megan Gilbertson was nominated for coach of the year and she also received her 5 year service award with the NDADD.
