CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Washington Elementary recently conducted its Spelling and Geography Bees. The two qualifiers for the County Spelling Bee are 5th grader Carly Goven, the daughter of Grant and Becky Goven, and 6th grader Maggie Dockter, the daughter of Dallas and Kirsten Dockter. Both girls will compete at Valley City State University February 10th for an opportunity to move onto the state competition.

The school winner in the Geography Bee is Daniel Wintch. Daniel is the son of Wesley and Natalie Wintch, he’s a 6th grade student. He will now take the National Geographic qualifying test online for an opportunity to compete in the North Dakota State Geography Bee.
