ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The medical examiner has positively identified the body found in the Sheyenne River near Warwick, North Dakota Tuesday.

36 year-old Amanda Engst of Halstad, Minnesota went missing last fall. Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies says the UND Medical Examiners office made the determination. Sheriff Lies says the body was discovered Tuesday afternoon in the Sheyenne River.

The cause of death has not been reported, although foul play is suspected. A car owned by Engst was used by two people linked to burglaries and robberies in Minnesota and North Dakota.
