N.D. (AP) – A mental evaluation has been ordered for a Minot man accused of stealing an ambulance and crashing it near Carrington.

Twenty-one-year-old Timothy Blowers is facing three felonies for allegedly stealing an ambulance from Trinity Hospital and fleeing police on Highway 52. Blowers eventually crashed into a northbound SUV after state troopers laid down spikes.

At a hearing last week, interim state’s attorney Ashley Lies requested an evaluation to determine whether Blowers is fit to stand trial.

No plea was entered at the hearing.
