FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners boys basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with an 83-70 win over West Fargo Sheyenne. 

The Hi-Liners went 40-54 from the free throw line, while the Mustangs (7-12 overall, 6-12 EDC) finished 17-25 from the charity stripe. 

Valley City had five players score in double figures, Nate Rodriguez finished with a game-high 22 points and went 14-18 from the free throw line for the Hi-Liners (9-10 overall, 8-11 EDC). 

Valley City finishes the regular season at home against #3 West Fargo on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Game – West Fargo Sheyenne 81 Valley City 53

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Mustangs jumped out to a 44-18 lead at the half over the Hi-Liners inside the Hi-Liner Activities Center on Friday night. 

West Fargo Sheyenne (7-12 overall, 7-11 EDC) would go on to win 81-53 over Valley City (0-20 overall, 0-19 EDC) in Eastern Dakota Conference action. 

Valley City closes out the regular season on the road at West Fargo on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
