S.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The inside-outside threats from Dakota State proved too much for the University of Jamestown men’s basketball as they saw their season end 79-65 in the NSAA championship game.
In the first half, it was Tanner Heiser lighting up the Jimmies for five of his teams seven triples. And in the second half, it was the interior threats of Kyle Kilgore and Derek Meger that lead the Trojans.
In a fast paced first half, Jake Hagler kept the Jimmies in it with 17 points. The second half was a completely different game. The Dakota State defense and big men wore down Jamestown.
Jamestown ends their season at 17-13. The Trojans with the win claimed the NSAA’s automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament.
