CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Empire Home Furnishings on March 23 in Valley City.

Owners Paul and Nancy Hilborn bought Budget Home Furnishings in July. Paul’s father Russell owned the old store on west main in Valley City for more than 45 years.

Hilborn says the new stores inventory has been expanded. He says if a customer finds the exact same item under the same terms for a lesser price Empire Home Furnishings will refund the customer. He says we work hard to give the customer the best deal here in Valley City.

The store carries several top brands upstairs on the main level and Empire sells used furniture in the basement.
