CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Mayville State University handed Valley City State University their first conference loss of the season on Tuesday, with a 4-0 win in game one.
Tiffany Soria went 2-3 and drove in all 4 runs for the Comets.
VCSU responded in game two with a 9-3 win over MSU.
Katarina Boychuk and Cejay Hilhorst each provided a home run for the Vikings, as they earned a spilt with the Comets in North Star softball.
With the win, the Vikings improve to 23-6 overall and 7-1 in conference play. VCSU hits the road this weekend for their next contest against #15 Dickinson State University on Saturday and Sunday.
