N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Road construction has come to Dickey County according to county Emergency Manager Charlie Russell.

Construction is set to begin on Dickey County Highway #3, which will focus on widening and resurfacing. Russell states that this is a major East-West artery that runs through Dickey County. In order to accelerate the project completion, the road will be entirely sectioned off.

“In sections of this construction phase it would be near impossible to safely maintain one lane traffic during the project. It was decided this will be the best way to keep the traffic flowing.” Russell stated.

Russell encourages those that travel the route are asked to start planning alternative routes for the summer while construction continues on the road.
