N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During the State Hospital Governing Board meeting in Jamestown Monday, the North Dakota State Hospital retained its accreditation with the Joint Commission.

According to the board, the Joint Commission accredits and certifies health care facilities and programs nationwide. The commission reviewed the hospital while State Hospital Superintendent Dr. Rosalie Ethrington was away in April.

The commission reportedly found some deficiencies with environmental issues and scheduled fire drills. The Joint Commission followed up the inspection since. A full report will be compiled and sent to the Joint Commission.
