CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two people were injured after a rollover on I-94 near the Oriska Rest Area at around 6:25 PM Monday evening.

Captain Bryan Niewind with the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that Heather Marie Butler, 33, of Riverside, IA was traveling eastbound on I-94 when the vehicle entered the south ditch. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its wheels facing northeast.

Butler was not restrained and was ejected during the crash. Passenger Michael Kemp, 35, of Santa Ana, CA remained in the vehicle, but it is unclear if he was restrained. Butler was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for serious injuries. Kemp was transported by Barnes County Ambulance.

Butler was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. The crash remains under investigation. Photos by Steve Urness.
