N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Cassie DuBray, a member of the ND Region 6 Homeless Coalition, has brought forth a lacking area of need in the community.

During a Homeless Coalition Board meeting, it was brought to her attention that local organizations were lacking diapers.

DuBray has taken it upon herself to help generate awareness of the issue while also raising funds to purchase diapers to donate to local organizations.

According to the National Diaper Bank Network, there are no Diaper Banks in North Dakota and 15% of all infants in the state are in a poor family that cannot afford basic necessities. DuBray said new and unused diapers can be donated.

You can help the cause by either donating diapers to the Salvation Army, Community Action Region 6, your local parish or another organization. DuBray has also started a CrowdRise page with hopes to raise $1,000 to buy diapers.
