N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Tourism is adopting new forms of social media to help promote the city of Jamestown.

Katianne Brockpahler is an Intern with Jamestown Tourism this year, and she states that the organization has adopted a new Instagram page to promote the Frontier Village, “Dakota Thunder” and the community in general.

With over 500 million active users, Jamestown Tourism will be reaching a big audience with their Instagram page.

Brockpahler also stated that the organization was working on a geo-filter for the city of Jamestown on Snapchat. The filter would allow individuals to add a layer over the picture they took and will have the city name “Jamestown” adorned with a small buffalo.

The geo-filter will be available for the entire city once it’s approved by Snapchat. The Instagram page is called “discoverjamestownnd”.
