N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The 2016 version of the State Class B Legion Baseball Tourney completed on Sunday with two games at Carrington City Park.  Below are the results.

Hazen 4 Kindred 3

Jayden Miller hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give his team the lead 4-3 and relief pitcher Payton Leintz threw four innings of shutout baseball to help the Astros of Hazen Post 189 to advance into the championship game with Carrington.  Kindred Vikings Post 117 ends their season in third place and a 32-4 overall record.

Carrington 5 Hazen 1 (Championship)

Starting pitcher Braxton Hewitt allowed just one run on two hits and tourney MVP Brady Smith was 1-for-3 at the plate with double and a sacrifice RBI to help Post 25 win their third consecutive State Class B Championship in Legion Baseball.  It’s the first time in North Dakota Class B Legion Baseball history that this has been done.  Hewitt was the player of the game as well.  Connor Doll took the loss, Hazen ends in second place with a 34-8 record, Carrington ends at 28-6-1.
