N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Music Boosters were formed nearly 10 years ago in an effort to maintain quality music programs inside the school district.

The Boosters have been responsible for concert attire, instruments and many other items for the districts choral and band programs. Booster President Michelle Weatherly stated that their most recent endeavor was to purchase new acoustic shells for the schools, which was a goal since the inception of the club.

Now that the campaign for the shells is complete, Weatherly stated that they’ve shifted their focus to purchase new sousaphones for the band program.

The Boosters will be holding their annual “Music Through The Ages” which will feature local artists, teachers and professors in the community. Weatherly pointed out that those performing either has an impact on the community through music or have been in the local music programs.

The event will be Sunday, September 18th and all funds raised will go towards the Music Boosters fundraising goals. Contact Michelle Weatherly at jamestowusicboosters@gmail.com for more information.
