JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a new registered sex offender living within Jamestown.

24 year-old Rico Harland currently resides at 517 4th Street Northwest and has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee. Harland was charged in 2009 with Gross Sexual Imposition after engaging in intercourse with a 13 year-old female. He was charged again with Gross Sexual Imposition in 2013 when he had intercourse with a 14 year-old female on more than one occasion.

Harland is currently on probation with North Dakota Probation and parole and on GPS monitoring. He is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. Any use of this information to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender will result in prosecution.
