N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It seems like a new hunting season is announced every weekend in the fall and the Game & Fish department is encouraging everyone to get involved, including the youth.
State Biologist Doug Leier stated earlier this month that grouse and partridge season were opening at the beginning of September and now several other season are nearing their opening dates. Leier pointed out first that this weekend would be the focus of youth hunters.
Leier stated that for those hunters who weren’t interested in big game, youth waterfowl would be available Saturday and Sunday in North Dakota.
According to Leier, this weekend is not for competition and trying to get kids into hunting, it’s letting the kids get a feel for hunting and giving them a chance to learn from those with experience.
