CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) – A meeting to try to find better ways to handle runoff during a torrential rainfall will be discussed tonight during a public meeting in the Hi Liner Activity Center in Valley City.
Former City Commissioner Madeline Luke is leading an effort to discuss a better way to handle rain runoff in the city.
David Locke of Stockwell Engineering of Sioux Falls will lead a discussion on how to implement a few green techniques to retain water and eliminate pooling in certain areas of the city during a heavy rain event.
Locke was in Valley City earlier this year and studied four locations that may qualify for this project, they are: A city owned parking lot north of the Post Office, Valley City Barnes County Library parking lot, Epworth United Methodist Church parking lot and Courts A, B and C along North Central Avenue in Valley City.
Valley City residents are welcome learn more about the project during a public meeting tonight at 7pm in the Hi Liner Activity Center in Valley City.
