N.D. (NewsDakota.com)——-The Carrington girls volleyball team remains undefeated after a 3-0 (25-7, 25-16, 25-14) victory over Midkota. The Cardinals are the only team left in the state in class B volleyball without a loss. Carrington set the tone early in set one cruising to a 25-7 victory, allowing just 2 kills from the Mustangs. The Cards countered with 11 first set kills led by Maara Nelson’s 6. Nelson would finish the night with a match high 15 kills. Carmen Pedreson added 10 kills and Kaedyn Mehring added 8. Carrington was almost perfect from the service line, making 73 of 74 serves, good for 99 percent. Abigail Jarrett led the way at the service line hitting all 26 serves and a match high 4 aces. Midkota’s Victoria Vollmer led her team with 5 kills. Midkota dropped to 14-17 overall and 3-4 in District 5. Carrington improved to 29-0 overall and finished District 5 play 7-0. The Cards will travel to Napoleon Tuesday night to play Napoleon-GS, gametime is approximately 7:00 P.M. and will be aired on AM 1600 KDAK and www.newsdakota.com
