CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – If you’re wondering how big the locally grown great pumpkin is and who grew it in Barnes County that now sits in front of Bitz Tire and Service in Valley City, well here are the facts.

Todd Anderson of Bitz Tire and service says the pumpkin was grown by Mark Weyer of rural Eckelson, North Dakota. The great pumpkin weights 719 lbs.

Anderson’s son Zack painted the pumpkin pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. All photos by Todd Anderson.
