CITY, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) Valley City Public Schools will be participating in a competition to see which school can raise the most funds for the Salvation Army on Wednesday, December 21 from 2pm to 5pm.

Superintendent Josh Johnson is encouraging everyone to come out and support the school of your choice at their location or send a donation to your selected school. He said please mark any donations sent to the school as Red Kettle Competition Donation.

Jr/Sr High will be ringing the bell at Leevers Wednesday, December 21st from 2pm – 5pm.

Washington Elementary will be ringing the bell at Shopko Wednesday, December 21st from 2pm – 5pm.

Jefferson Elementary will be ringing the bell at Market Place Wednesday, December 21st from 2pm – 5pm.

The principal from the school with the least amount of donations will take a pie in the face at the school with the most donations, during an assembly that will be announced once school is back in session after the New Year.
