Jay Forward Cole Burkle came up with a hat trick to lead Jamestown to a 3-2 win in overtime at Dickinson Saturday night in West Region Hockey.
Burkle was dragged down on a break away 2:30 into overtime and was awarded a penalty shot. The puck was placed at center ice and the Senior winger skated in on the Midget goalie and snapped in his third goal of the night his seventh of the season to end the game.
Jamestown out shot Dickinson 32-31, with Junior Goalie Matthew Schneider stopping 29 Midget shots.
Jamestown improves the record to 6-3 overall and 5-2 in the region. The Blue Jays, Century, and Minot are all tied for second place in the West Region.
