CITY, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) CHI Mercy Health is excited to announce the winners from the New Year’s Eve Party held December 31, at the Gaukler Family Wellness Center. 

Co-event coordinator Stephanie Mayfield said CHI Mercy Health collaborated with the Valley City Parks and Recreation Department to hold the event to promote a healthy, family friendly, night for New Year’s Eve. 

She said in support of this collaboration, CHI Mercy Health was awarded a ND Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex Grant) by the Centers for Rural Health at UND.  This funding assisted in the funding of the event which was free for the public and offered many Wellness Incentive Gifts. 

The following is a list of winners who can make Wellness a Priority in 2017:  Fit Bit Charge 2—Nita Petersen and Makayla Kamrosky; Fit Bit Flex 2—Natalie Koch and Alexis Wobbema; $100 Gift Certificate to Bong’s Bootery—Ellen Anderson and Grace Anderson; 18” Children’s bicycle—Greta Gibson; 20” Children’s bicycle—Dallas Cooley; Day Pass to the Gaukler Family Wellness Center—Misty Anderson, Tarissa Severson, Maria Flores, and Jeff Crowe.

Mayfield thanked everyone who came out to enjoy the evening. Over 200 people participated in the event and enjoyed free swimming, indoor playground, basketball, healthy treats and the movie Elf. The evening concluded with a New Years Eve Countdown and balloon drop and noise makers to ring in the new year!
