(NewsDakota.com) The University of Jamestown men’s hockey team scored two power-play goals in the second period, to go along with two even strength tallies, to propel the Jimmies to a 6-2 victory Sunday afternoon against the University of Colorado.

The Jimmies and Buffalos each scored a goal apiece in the first twenty minutes, Brandon Schaber scored first for Jamestown.

Period number two saw a total of five goals, with Allan Pruss putting one in before the two extra man scores; one from Cayle Bell and the other from Cole McKechney. Eric Buckley added another goal for Jamestown, less than thirty seconds after McKechney’s score.

In the third, Cole Sonstebo scored with ten seconds remaining to put six on the scoreboard.

Jamestown’s Tyson Brouwer made 28 saves on 30 Buffalo shots, while Colorado’s Colin Champine had 23 saves and faced 29 shots on goal.

The Jimmies visit Iowa State for a pair of games on January 20 and 21.
