Wrestler of the Week is Jake Tangen.

Junior Jake Tangen had his biggest win of the season on Friday February 3rd in the West Fargo Sheyenne gym.  Jake used his patented “cradle” to score six near fall points and win a hard fought 7-2 decision over Brody Farmer from West Fargo Sheyenne.  Farmer is the 6th ranked wrestler in North Dakota class A at 182lbs.

Jakes win helped propel the Hi-Liners to a 45-16 dual meet win over the Mustangs and qualify for the North Dakota Class A Dual tournament for only the fourth time in school history.  Jake has a season record of 22 wins and 13 losses.  Jake has 82 varsity wins in his career.  Jake is also on the trap team and is a member of the Valley CIty High School Honor roll.
