Midwest Dairy Association spokesman Stan Amundson said Ralph Metcalf gave us the support to promote dairy products while Metcalf served as a legislator.

Metcalf said, “Before I was a legislator, I milked cows starting at the age of 14. He said was humbled to receive this recognition.” Metcalf was the manager of the North Dakota Winter Show 30 years ago during the 50th Anniversary celebration.

His wife Helen Metcalf said the farm has been in the family for four generations.

The Metcalf’s were honored just before the 80th birthday party celebration of the North Dakota Winter Show at the Midwest Dairy Association booth on March 8th.
