N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Music Boosters have been assisting the Jamestown Public School District with their music programs for several years.
Their service to the district will continue this year with their “Music Blooms” fundraising concert.
The boosters have helped by completing several projects that have furthered the music programs in the schools.
Michelle Weatherly is the president of the boosters. She stated that their new focus will be a sort of instrument fund, which will rent out instruments or help with instrument payments for area students.
Weatherly also states that they are continually raising funds for scholarships. These scholarships will allow students to have uniforms for performances among many other things.
In order to raise funds, the boosters will be holding their concert “Music Blooms” on April 9th at the Jamestown High School. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults and $25 for families. All money raised will benefit the boosters and their continued service to the school’s music programs.
