N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Enderlin/Maple-Valley Baseball traveled to Kindred Monday for a region and non region game against The Vikings. Kindred-Richland won 4-1 and 3-2. The Falcons, who are now 2-2 in Region 1, are at home Thursday against Central Cass.
Game 1: Kindred 4 Enderlin/Maple Valley 1
The Vikings scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st and never trailed. EMV’s only run came in the 2nd inning when Jade Pulkrabek brought home Sean Bielke with a double. Kindred added one more run in the 6th.
Dustin Kasowki was 2 for 3. Pulkrakbek, Peter Lindgren and Chance Bye each had base hits. The Vikings’ Evan Waskom had 2 hits with 2 RBIs.
Nathan Amerman started for EMV pitching 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 4 runs and 2 walks with 3 strike outs. Jade Pulkrabek pitched an inning of relief with 2Ks. Kindred Starter Brandon Roester went all 7 punching out 13 while scattering 5 hits.
Game 2: Kindred 3 EMV 2 (5 innings)
All the scoring happened in the 4th. EMV scored 2 with Logan Mulder getting a 2 RBI hit in the top half of the inning. Kindred/Richland answered back with 3 runs in their half of the inning.
Brandon Utke pitched 4 innings for The Falcons, all 3 runs were earned. Brandon Hoyme got the win for The Vikings with 7 strike outs and 2 earned runs.
