N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a new convicted sex offender residing within the city of Jamestown.

Geoffrey Owen Lynch, 42, resides at 517 4th Street NW. He is 5’08”, weighs 205 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Lynch was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition in 2001 when he provided alcohol to three minors and had intercourse with a 15 year-old female while she was asleep.

He was also charged with Sexual Imposition when he was camping with family in 2016. He went into a neighboring tent where he fondled and had sexual intercourse with a female victim, even though she repeatedly told him no and to stop.

Mr. Lynch is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
