(NewsDakota.com) Peter Lindgren had three hits, drove in three and had a two-run home run, as the Enderlin-Maple Valley Falcon baseball team defeated Oakes 4-1 Saturday afternoon at Hendrickson Field.
Lindgren had an RBI double in the third inning off of Oakes’ Zander Bauer, another hit in the sixth, and the two-run shot in the first to start the scoring for the Falcons.
Oakes was able to pick up a run on a couple of hits in the third inning scoring Bauer, but it wasn’t enough. Nathan Amerman eared the win for EMV to improve them to 4-2 in Class B Region I, going all seven innings, allowing just three hits while striking out four. Bauer took the loss, going six innings, surrendering seven hits and picking up two strikeouts.
Oakes’ (3-5 Region I) next contest is on the road yet again; this time a trip to Northern Cass to visit the Jaguars on May 2. The game was originally scheduled for May 9, but due to this past week’s weather, was pushed up in order that all Class B Region I teams will have a chance to try to finish their regular season contests.
Coverage from just outside of Hunter Tuesday starts at 2:45 p.m. on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com, with first pitch at 3 p.m.
