CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 29 year-old Nicholas Curtis Rittenhouse of Valley City was sentenced to 3 years in the state penitentiary with credit for 125 days already served in the Barnes County jail.

According to a Barnes County Sheriff’s Office news release issued to the media on July 7th, Rittenhouse plead guilty to Felony Burglary; Misdemeanor Simple Assault; Felony Criminal Trespass; Felony Theft of Property and Felony Criminal Conspiracy.

These incidents occurred during the burglary of a Valley City home on December 12th of 2016 and two other burglaries reported in Barnes County in 2017.
