TOWER CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Earlier this summer, the Maple Valley School District approved of a nearly $4 million building authority bond to build a new addition at the school in Tower City.

On Friday, a ground breaking ceremony was held and long-time supporter of the project Marion Kasowski was happy to see this come to fruition. She said it will benefit families to have K-12 students under one roof.

Superintendent Brian Wolf said bids for the project will be let soon and construction will start next month. He said the new addition should be completed by next May according to the contractor.

The new addition will be just under, 16,000 square feet and add more classrooms, a kitchen, a library and commons area once it’s completed.

The Maple Valley School district will formally approve a bid package and authorization for the project during a special school board meeting Tuesday, August 29 at 6pm in Tower City School music room.
