N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On September 15th & 16th, the North Dakota Highway Patrol will team up with Barnes and Stutsman Counties to hold alcohol saturation events in those areas.

“The goal of the saturation is to deter, detect and remove alcohol-impaired drivers from our roadway to prevent unnecessary crashes from occurring,” the NDHP states.

Impaired driving is a public safety threat throughout the state. Nearly half of all fatal crashes in North Dakota involve an impaired driver. This results in approximately 60 or more deaths each year.

Results from the saturation will be reported on next week.
